WHAT IS THE EB-3 PROGRAM?
If you want to immigrate to the United States and have the right combination
of skills, education, and work experience, you may be eligible for an
employment-based visa. Each fiscal year, approximately 140,000 employment-based
immigrant visas are made available to qualified applicants under U.S.
immigration law provisions. Of this, 28.6% or around 40,040 visas are allocated
to the EB-3 category.
- The applicant must have more
than two years of work experience, education, or training that meets the
job requirements specified in the labor certification.
- The applicant must perform
work for which there are no qualified workers available in the U.S.
- Relevant post-secondary
education may be considered as training.
Professionals
- The applicant must hold a
U.S. bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent degree.
- The applicant must perform
work for which there are no qualified workers available in the U.S.
- The applicant must meet any
other requirements specified in the labor certification.
Unskilled Worker
- The applicant must
demonstrate the ability to perform unskilled labor (which requires less
than two years of training or experience).
- The applicant must perform
work for which there are no qualified workers available in the U.S.

other requirements specified in the labor certification.
